And I am addicted to shiny objects! I work from my home on a beautiful farm near Stilbaai, but because I am online I am in fact everywhere.

Around 75,000 years ago, in a cave near the Southern Cape shoreline in South Africa, a human drilled tiny holes into the shells of snails and strung them as beads to make the oldest known jewellery – by at least 30,000 years.

I find it fascinating that fate brought me here, a mere 10km from the Blombos caves, the very place where the world’s oldest jewellery was discovered! My family that has been involved with jewellery for generations and I have been in love with jewellery for as long as I can remember.

I am extremely fortunate to be the daughter of Susan Roos, an esteemed and well-known jewellery designer in South Africa. I have been in love with jewellery and all things shiny and sparkly for as long as I can remember!

As a child, I spent hours in my mother’s studio watching her carefully and observing as she transformed rough pieces of metal into beautiful artworks. Today we are still working closely together, collaborating on designs and marketing and selling each other’s designs.

I specialize in jewellery design by using the latest computer-aided design programs together with cutting edge technology like 3D printers. I use only the best, most trustworthy and highly skilled craftsmen in South Africa and each piece is manufactured with great care and love.

It makes me incredibly happy to fill my days with something that is truly my passion, and I hope it shows in my work.
